So tonight after countless pureed meals I finally succeeded, if only for about 6 bites. Liza ate our dinner!!! She has been opening her mouth each time we bring the fork to our mouths as she sits on our laps during dinnertime. Although I think I've decided the root of her dislike for table food is that she's not too hot on texture which is why she enjoys that Gerber stuff so much. There is no texture or chunks in it. I'm pleased that she is at least showing some interest in eating our food but I think it might still be easier to buy it pre-made since she is liking it so much. I can't complain too much, at least she's eating food.
The most painful part of her eating food is the newly scented mud that she makes. It's alway such a shock to go from breastmilk poo to food poo. I'm never fully prepared for this dramatic change. Barry and I have already dreamed of having her potty-trained. Think it's too early to start?
Payton has been busy playing with his trains. I've decided to never again set up the train track. I spend about 20 minutes constructing and course only about 10 mintues go by before it's completely destroyed, not to mention I'm not a great engineer. I now leave it up to the boys to use their imaginations and plow their way through their room.
The most recent game to play in the house is "Go Fish". Jared is hilarious to play with. We've started letting the boys stay up one night that they've chosen to spend a little extra time with us. Last night was Jared's night and his choice was to play "Go Fish". We laughed and laughed. It was a such a great time.

Yay for Liza! Hopefully she begins to show more and more interest in table food. It's certainly a much cheaper route, that's for sure!
sounds so fun...i can't wait for that stage where we really have fun together with the kids---need fewer tantrums!
