Defeated

Last night Kadet basketball faced off against the Doherty Spartans. Barry has yet to beat them in his entire coaching career. Last night he came very close. We were up by 2 with about 16 seconds to go and we were inbounding the ball. Barry's timeout speech was to either ice the clock or if they had an open lay-in to take it and seal the deal. We had a girl with a wide open lay-in and unfortunately she traveled and turned the ball over to which the other team went down and scored to tie it up. In overtime the other team nail two 3-pointers and we ended up losing by 8. Dang! Although it's disappointing Barry's theory is that he's never seen a JV team go to state, so they'll just use this loss as a learning experience and try to get 'em next time.
