Trick or Treat!

We had a great Halloween. We've been leading up to the big night for a while by carving pumpkins and decorating sugar cookies, Barry's personal favorite. The boys have been looking forward to dressing up and have had plenty of opportunities to do so. Tuesday we went to the ward playgroup and they got to do crafts and a cake walk. Payton won a cupcake which he proceeded to lick the frosting off and leave the cake. Like father like son! Wednesday, the anticipated day arrived and Barry took the day off to be with us! It was a great surprise. Thanks Barry! Jared's school party was during the last 30 minutes of class and I took Payton and Liza in. Jared loves having us come to school to see him busy at work, although I feel as if I'm a distraction. We then went to Walmart for a mass shopping spree and the kids got lots of attention from random patrons. The night soon arrived and I prepared Chili for a get together at my friend Stacie's house. Barry took the boys trick or treating with their neighbor friend Jacob. They sure raked in the loot. We were pleasantly surprised by the weather, it was a balmy 40 degrees. It actually wasn't too bad considering last year it was literally freezing.

All in all it was a great Halloween and I'm glad the pressure is off for costume making, until next year. We hope you all had a spooky night.
