No, wait the kids are just running through it. This is the battle I endure each and every day. We have a no running policy around here that is yet to be kept. The kids continue to stub their toes on couches, toys, and ram their shoulders into corners constantly. Do you think that they've learned their painful lesson? No.
This morning as I was showering, which to the kids basically means a free for all, it sounded as if a stampede of elephants was running through the house. Upon my stepping out of the shower it ended. Why you ask, because mom is now mobile and can stir up some wrath. A few minutes of time out and them repeating my words, "stop running in the house" I feel some sense of gratification for my ability to handle the anger with peaceful words and kindness. To which I later follow up with a positive remark such as, "thanks for not running! You kids are great!"
