I'm still not used to these Thursday football games but when you live in a city where school's only have district stadiums, that's what you get. Friday mornings are a bit rough.
We had our second game last night against Cheyenne Mountain HS. I was a bit worried for it since it followed ou wood shed beating last week, but we came out the victors (27-14). It was a great game. Our kids played really well, minus the 75 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by CMHS, twice. Some unlikely kids stole the show last night and really outperformed. One kid in particular had an exceptional game with a couple TDs, one being a great long catch. Last year in the playoffs he dropped a WIDE OPEN pass that had TD potential.
Jared is loving the water boy duties this year. He even runs out on the field to pick up the tee after kickoff once in a while. He's quite the little celebrity out there. The kids want to start a "Jared" chant next time.
We got special seating last night because I'm having trouble sitting in the stands now that my belly is getting so big. It's just too uncomfortable. We sat at the north end zone and had a little campsite set up. The kids loved running around on the grass and being free. I'm not sure how many games I'll be able to attend this year, due to my growth and accessibility with Liza. I refuse to carry her and blankets this year, so I've had to bust out the stroller.
A fun fact from last night's game...Barry was chatting with the Cheyenne head coach and he mentioned that his wife was pregnant with twin girls due around Christmas time. Whoa! Crazy huh? At first I thought that we were an anomaly, but I've been hearing of lots of twin pregnancies lately.
