Just a glimpse

I got busted today from a friend that I hadn't put up first day of school pix yet. Here is the only only one that I got of Jared. I forgot to take one before we left the house. He is loving 1st grade. I think that his teacher will be great this year. She is big on making the kids be responsible and seems to be really excited about education.


This is Liza's favorite thing to wear around. Barry's brother Brandon brought this home from a trip he went on when he was a senior in high school and all my kids have loved to wear it. Liza would wear it to bed if I'd let her. She looks just too cute in it!


Last weekend Barry decided to have the kids draw a map of the backyard and then Barry turned it into a treasure map. He filled Ziploc bags full of loose change we've had in a jar for each of the boys and buried it in the back. Jared thought that he was close and so he went and found a shovel to dig for his treasure. They had a blast and it kept them busy for about 30 minutes. Upon finding their treasure they were both thrilled and walked around all morning with their bags of money. We took them to the grocery store to put it through the change machine to get cash then went to Wal-mart for treats! It was a fun way to pass the morning.
