Delicious new recipe

My mother-in-law brought us a new recipe that I tried out tonight for a yummy snack. One of my nieces got this from her homeschool group. They are learning to cook different recipes from all over the world.

Scones (England)

Stir together:
4 cups flour
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Cut in:
1 cup butter, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs

Combine:
2 beaten eggs
1 cup milk

Add milk and eggs to flour, stir and knead gently on a floured surface till just combined.
Roll out dough to 3/4" thick and cut into rounds (I used a drinking cup), glaze with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Serve with whipped cream and jam.

Hope you enjoy these. We sure did!
